Yew wood is exceptionally decorative and considered one of the hardest softwoods. In the past, it was used for bow making, among other things. Due to its excessive use in the early centuries, unfortunately, very few old yew trees remain. When yew wood is acquired, its beautiful grain makes it particularly suitable for turning, inlays, or veneers.

Yew trees can live up to 3,000 years and grow to a height of 20 meters.
